Monday is unfortunate because it is the first day of the week. It spells the end of your weekend and back to work. Which is why it is often disliked.
But Monday doesn’t have to be the worst your day of the week, you can learn to embrace it. In fact Monday can be the best day of the week.
LOVE WHAT YOU DO
First love what you do. I love what I do, If I didn’t I would stop, find the thing I love to do and do that instead. Most people hate Mondays because they dislike their job. If you loved your job, you would be good at it and if you’re good at what you do, you would be eager to go into work on a Monday morning.
Now it’s easy for me to sit here and write if you don’t love your jobs, leave and change it. In reality I know that is very difficult to do. If you have spent 5-10 years in a field, only to realise you no longer enjoy it, it will be difficult to start again.
However you can start working towards finding a job you love more than your current one. For example if you work in marketing, you can find a job in an industry you really enjoy. Anything is possible it is only YOU that can change things.
LOOK FORWARD TO SOMETHING
Have a reason to want Monday to come around quickly. Give yourself something to look forward to. No matter how small.
Whether It be a social event after work, cinema night or Monday evening exercise class. Anything that will make you want to look forward to doing it. It will help make your Monday better knowing you have something you are excited to do afterwards.
Even something as simple as reading a new book or start jogging, doing this with friends will help with commitment.
THINK OF MONDAY AS A FRESH START
Think of Monday as a fresh start. A clean state. Whatever issues or worries you had from the previous week try to resolve them and put them behind you. Embrace Monday as a chance to start again and move forward.
If you have been meaning to start something or get something done but have been putting it off, start on Monday. Don’t dwell on bad eating habits or lack of exercise at the weekend move on and start a fresh.
